Core To Floor Therapy with Emsculpt Neo and Emsella with Dr Lam Bee Lan of Ageless Medical Aesthetics | BTL Aesthetics Singapore

Sharing my latest videography, editing project with BTL Aesthetics client Ageless Medical Aesthetics.

11 minute interview with Dr Lam Bee Lan

Why are core muscles important? The core muscles are the epicenter of the body and it encompasses more than the abdominal area. It consists of the abdomen, back, diaphragm and pelvic floor muscles. The weakest link is the pelvic floor as it is located at the bottom of the core and has the most pressure on it.   The core muscles surround the waist like a belt. Its main function is to stabilize intra-abdominal pressure, the spine and pelvic floor muscles. Having a strong core ensures better sitting and standing posture and at the same time it portrays an elegant and sophisticated vibe, giving an overall positive first impression. Emsculpt Neo can be used on multiple parts of the body, such as the abdomen, buttocks, arms, thighs and calves. However, as mentioned earlier, our core also includes the back muscles and the pelvic floor muscles. For the pelvic floor muscles, we have Emsella - a device that helps to strengthen pelvic floor muscles and reduce urinary incontinence.    https://www.iamageless.com.sg/ageless... Emsella is US FDA cleared for strengthening pelvic floor muscles and the treatment of urinary incontinence for both male and female. Emsella ultilizes the HIFEM technology, and targets the pelvic floor muscles without conscious effort on your end - delivering over 11,000 supramaximal contractions of the pelvic floor muscles or Kegel muscle contractions in a 28 minute session. This is essential in muscle re-education of incontinent patients, women after childbirth and those with decreased intimate satisfaction.  https://www.iamageless.com.sg/ageless... Combining Emsculpt Neo with Emsella provides a holistic core to floor muscle workout. Utilizing both the RF and HIFEM technologies to strengthen, firm and tone the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles. It also reduces abdominal separation known as diastasis recti. This helps to kick start the building of strong core muscles resulting in an elegant and sophisticated posture for an overall positive first impression. It also helps us to have better stamina whenever we exercise. To maintain optimal results, maintaining a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise is also required.  Make sure to subscribe to Ageless Medical on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMQ0... LYRICS:

God of Abraham, God of covenant and of faithful promises

Time and time again You have proven You’ll do just what you said

Though the storms may come and the winds may blow I’ll remain steadfast

And let my heart learn when you speak a word it will come to pass

Great is your faithfulness to me

Great is your faithfulness to me

From the rising sun, to the setting same

I will praise your name

Great is your faithfulness to me

God from age to age, though the earth may pass away, Your word remains the same

Your history can prove there’s nothing You can’t do, You’re faithful and True

Though the storms may come and the winds may blow I’ll remain steadfast

And let my heart learn when you speak a word it will come to pass

Great is your faithfulness to me

Great is your faithfulness to me

From the rising sun, to the setting same

I will praise your name

Great is your faithfulness to me

I put my faith in Jesus

My anchor to the ground

My hope and firm foundation

He’ll never let me down

20-Minute Shoulder Pain Relief Routine with Real-Time Stretches & Exercises

This 20-minute shoulder stretching & exercising routine is done in real time so it's easy to follow along. These shoulder stretches & exercises help loosen up the area & strengthen the muscles around the joint. Buy a worksheet with this routine https://www.askdoctorjo.com/20-minute... Start off the shoulder routine warm up to get the muscles ready. Shoulder circles, shoulder Ts, and arm circles are a great way to get the muscles loose. Shoulder flexion and scaption are a good way to start the routine to start activating the muscles, but still working up to bigger movements. Then some stretching for the muscles and joint capsule will help relax and lengthen the muscles. Upper trapezius stretch, posterior capsular stretch, and triceps stretch should help free up the shoulder joint. Next, exercising the rhomboids with scapular squeezes, and then stretching them will not only help with the shoulder, but it will also help with the upper back. Finally, a D2 PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) exercise and a chest stretch will help open up the chest area as well. I Ate Once a Day for a Month, See What Happened to Me

Can you eat just one meal a day? The human body can survive without a bite of food for up to 3 weeks. Of course, it’s a different story with water; you wouldn’t last more than 3 or 4 days without it! You and I both know that people are expected to eat 3 full meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Depending on how filling those meals are, you may squeeze in a few snacks here and there. It usually takes about 4 hours after each meal for your belly to start making those too-often-than-not embarrassingly monstrous growls, reminding you that it’s time for your next meal! But with different diets and fasting gaining popularity, I couldn’t help but wonder what would happen to my body if I ate just one meal every day for 30 days. I did it, and here’s what I got out of it! TIMESTAMPS: What the one meal a day diet is 1:44 The pros of this diet 2:38 The cons of this diet 4:05 How I felt after the 30 days 5:30 What a number of studies have shown 6:17 #diet #onemealaday #weightloss Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - You eat just one meal a day. There aren’t too many strict guidelines to this diet. You can essentially eat any foods you want and as much as you want, as long as it’s during your one singular meal of the day. - Unlike a lot of other diets, there are no special ingredients involved and no annoying calorie counting. If you want French fries, have French fries! If you’re craving a big bowl of spaghetti, go for it! - If weight loss is a goal of yours, it’s important not to overeat during your one meal since it can disrupt the diet’s ability to help you maintain a steady drop in pounds. - After trying it for a couple of days, I found that my body quickly adjusted to this way of eating, and my appetite really wasn’t that raging. This must be because my stomach probably shrank after a few days, so I felt satisfied with just one meal a day. - For the first couple days, my stomach was definitely feeling hunger pangs. It started with stomach growls and ended with painful cramping. - For the first week, I just wanted to lie on the couch and Netflix and chill all day long. My energy was super low, and I felt so lethargic. - After the 30 days, I found that I’d actually dropped a few pounds! I felt pretty awesome not only because I’d gotten leaner and felt healthier, but I was also really proud of myself for sticking to a diet that I easily could’ve given up on. - One of the main concerns I found online was the fact that women and men respond differently to this type of intermittent fasting. Women have a stronger need for iron in their diet. - I also read up on different studies. One of them was conducted in 2017 by researchers at the University of Saskatchewan. They found that the one meal a day diet can be helpful for people suffering from type 2 diabetes since it helps with weight loss and reducing blood sugar levels. - Other studies have shown that it can really help increase the lifespan in people with obesity. - It just a super specific thing that each person should check with their doctor to see if they can do it safely. A lot of people swear by it, and I’m happy with the weight loss results I got. #Gopro8 MONKEYS EVERYWHERE!!!| | HIKING @MacRitchie Reservoir Park #Singapore Again

Sharing another hiking adventure at MacRitchie Reservoir Park Singapore guys!

This time it was exciting and a bit tiring because we trekked on the Lornie trail side

and in there, to my surprised we saw a lot of monkeys everywhere.

Family monkeys with their babies together chiiling along side the trail.

Baby monkeys i find looks weird. They look like an alien to me . Haha!

So , when we were about to go in the trail, some monkeys blocked me and stole our

food!

I was really scared and stunned 'cuz their eyes looked so fierce and I felt they were

gonna attack me. But lo and behold! They were only after my food in a plastic bag!

So I just let go of it. My gf was sooo angry at me ahahhahah! She can't move on of why I let

them took it away. loooool!

So I learnt, that the monkeys are sensitive and always gets alerted of the sound of a plastic bag/courier

'cuz they know there's food inside. That's a tip yah?

So there they went! Partying with our donuts.

So guys! If it's gonna be your first time in MacRitchie Reservoir Park, Singapore

I advise you not to bring any plastic bag cuz they will surely steal it from you.

But if ever they do that to you, just shoo them away with a stick or your hand

and that will scare them away too. REMEMBER: DO NOT HURT THEM!

Next time when we go back in there, I will know what to do already.

Excited to see them again.

I have gathered some infos about MacRitchie Reservoir Park below.

Thanks Google!

Mention MacRitchie to any Singaporean and the talk will certainly turn to cross-country runs, nature trails and the TreeTop Walk.

Anchored by Singapore’s largest reservoir—part of a water catchment system that captures rain water—the park and nature reserve at the very heart of Singapore is a popular destination for runners, water sports enthusiasts, and of course nature lovers.

If you’ve ever wanted to enjoy the tranquility of walking above lush green foliage, you’ll get your chance at the Treetop Walks, a 250-metre aerial free standing suspension bridge spanning the two highest points within MacRitchie.

Take an exhilarating walk around the 11-kilometre nature trail loop known as MacRitchie Trails, located within the tropical rainforest of Central Catchment Nature Reserve. You’ll likely bump into long-tailed macaque monkeys, squirrels and monitor lizards (yah! We spotted monitor lizard chiiling along the way). If you’re lucky, you may even encounter colugos (flying lemurs) or owls!

MacRitchie Reservoir was constructed in 1867, through a donation of S$13,000 by philanthropist Tan Kim Seng, and is one of the four reservoirs located within the nature reserve. The others include Lower Peirce Reservoir, Upper Peirce Reservoir and Upper Seletar Reservoir.

With so many attractions and scenic spots of nature on offer, MacRitchie is an excellent destination for anyone who loves fun and the outdoors.

SUMMARY:

- When doing walking lunges, the muscles in the front of your leg work the most since they have to move your whole body up and forward. This not only strengthens all the leg muscles but also improves your balance and stability.

- Squats work your calves, hamstrings, and quadriceps, but they're also pretty effective for building up your abs and strengthening your lower back and glutes. Besides, they’re a great way to burn tons of calories really fast, maintain your heart health, and improve your lung capacity.

- Squat jumps help tone your calves, quads, and hammies as well as your glutes and core muscles. It’s also cool in that it involves the arms a little more than traditional squats and definitely a lot more cardio!

- Split squats is a great lower-body exercise since squatting deeply with just one leg really targets the stabilizer muscles and, as a bonus, improves your balance!

- When you do squat the pulses, you constantly engage and stimulate your leg muscles. Plus, you can hold the movement longer and tire your muscles in a different way than when you do just a standard squat.

- Elevated calf raises will have your calves looking bigger, stronger, and more defined. Plus, it increases your ankle strength, so you won’t be as prone to spraining or twisting them.

- Lunge jumps develop your lower body strength and endurance by targeting the quadriceps, hamstrings, calves, glutes, and hip flexors. Besides, it's a perfect cardio exercise, and it stabilizes your core, improves your coordination, and builds ankle stability.

- Step ups work pretty much every muscle in your legs as well as your glutes for an added bonus!

- The single leg bridge is a great exercise to work all three glute muscles, train your hamstrings, and strengthen your lower back. If it seems too easy for you, do this exercise with a barbell or dumbbell lying securely across your hipbones.
